Monroe County Transit Authority Names Local Agency

KKPR to Sell Transit Ads

Milford, PA (October 1, 2012) – The Monroe County Transit Authority (MCTA), also known as the Pocono Pony – Monroe County’s public transit service, announced today that the Milford-based agency, KKPR Marketing & Public Relations, Inc., will be taking over the advertising on all transit vehicles for the County. The creative boutique was awarded the contract early September and will begin the sale of interior and exterior ad spaces on October 1st.

“We look forward to working with the MCTA in this capacity,” said Katrina Foster, President & Founder of KKPR Marketing & Public Relations, Inc. “It seemed like a natural fit after we were awarded the advertising sales contract for Pike County and we are really excited about the creative options we are bringing to this project, including floor ads and accompanying text messaging ads.”

MCTA enhances the mobility of the people who live or work in Monroe County, Pennsylvania for the purposes of offering access to quality-of-life activities, including, but not limited to, health care, shopping, education, recreation, public services and employment. With more than 45 fleet vehicles, MCTA provides both fixed route and shared ride services to the general public, offering an ideal mass-reach medium for a low comparable cost to impact the County’s consumers.

In the last year, MCTA moved more passengers than it ever has. Over 244,000 trips were completed using their Fixed Route system (Red, Blue, Orange and Yellow Routes). Commuters, students, seniors and individuals with disabilities were all a part of the mix.

“We are excited to be working with an agency in our backyard,” said Rich Schlameuss, Assistant Executive Director for the MCTA. “It will be great to see some of their new ideas incorporated into the overall advertising on the buses that will surely bring added value to our advertisers. KKPR is taking our advertising program into the next level and we look forward to watching it take off.”

Most recently, KKPR Marketing & Public Relations took home a SAGE Award for Best Practices in Marketing & Communications, and earlier in the year, the budding agency was presented with an ADDY award by the AAF NEPA for The Looking Glass Project; a special event turned KKPR brand, which the agency created in the beginning of 2010.

KKPR, Kconceptual Kreations, opened its doors in 2006 and has grown from a one-woman, home-based business to a burgeoning boutique agency that currently includes additional publicists, designers, and administration staff. The marketing and public relations company re-launched its brand in September of 2008, which introduced KKPR Marketing & Public Relations, the new look and feel of Kconceptual Kreations. Since its brand re-launch, many new and exciting things have developed in the world of KKPR from new clients and services to new staff and KKPR Brands.
